If you joined us late … Machete was a trailer for a non-existent film in Grindhouse 1n 2007, then it became a real film in 2010, and 2013 will bring a sequel, Machete Kills.  The casting here is interesting:  of course Danny Trejo and also Lady Gaga, Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen, Jessica Alba, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle Rodriguez, Cuba Gooding Jr, Edward James Olmos.

Rodriguez’s track record with sequels is not the best and I suspect this might be carrying the joke too far.  Then again, Machete Kills will once again feature the Avellan Twins.

So surely it won’t be all bad.
