A rarity today – walked past Esprit in Cityplaza and saw exactly the shorts I was looking for in the window. Three mannequins, each wearing the same style in a different color. So I went in, searched the store in vain, located a sales girl and asked for the shorts that are in the window. She started to giggle and told me they were sold out. But you have them in the window, why do you have them in the window if you don’t have any in stock? She repeated, they’re sold out, and giggled even more.

Somehow I didn’t get the joke.
